Pride is poisonous, it finds its roots in the darkness of one’s selfishness. Humility is life giving, its only motive is to serve and love others. So why is it so hard to be humble? Is it because in being humble we give from ourselves or perhaps give all of ourselves? That must hurt. It must be so unnatural to humans; it must take extra courage to give like that. But it is only by being humble that we feel most ourselves – we find our true purpose when we serve others.
